Rocky Mountain Therapy Services has been providing services for over 25 years and the clinic in Montrose has been under its direction since 2007. We work with the area physicians to provide quality outcomes and education for patients. RMTS works with the total community: seniors, employers, student athletes, motor vehicle accident, workers compensation, injury and chronic pain patients. Currently, under the direction of Aaron Coon, DPT and a great support staff, the clinic has become a unique partner in the local medical community. Aaron specializes in Manual therapy for the spine and extremities and enjoys treating back pain, shoulders, and knees.
The updated clinic is located on Apollo Road and is in close proximity to physicians and employers. The facility offers a comfortable and warm atmosphere for our patient’s recovery from an injury or surgery.
A couple of our staff, Aaron and Jessica, went to Cerise Park to teach a class about Walking Poles. This was offered thru the National MS Society. This program offered community members with MS to learn how to utilize walking poles for everyday use. It was a fun program to teach and they are looking forward to teaching it again!

Our Team
Alex Etzenhouser,
Physical Therapy Assistant
PTA
After culinary school and years of working in the food industry, Alex decided to change careers and pursue Physical Therapy. He graduated from his PTA program in 2022 at Concorde College, Aurora, CO. Growing up in Gunnison, Alex is familiar with the Western Slope Community. He loves Disc Golf, Skiing, Mountain Biking, Camping, and spending time with his dogs. He has taken classes on Advanced IASTM techniques and prefers this method on people with shoulder or thoracic pain. IASTM is a form of soft tissue mobilization utilizing an instrument to improve blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and relieve pain. He enjoys helping his patients return to their normal lives through functional training and manual techniques.
Holly Hochwalt,
Physical Therapy Assistant
PTA
Holly is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant, proudly graduating from Spokane Falls Community College. Her journey led her from the scenic landscapes of Spokane, Washington, to the breathtaking mountains of Colorado in 2019.
In her therapeutic approach, she seamlessly blends traditional methods with the holistic benefits of yoga and fitness, adding an extra layer of personalized care to each PT session. Beyond the clinic, she is an avid enthusiast of outdoor adventures—whether it's conquering hiking trails, gliding through XC skiing terrains, or simply immersing herself in a good book.
At home, her world revolves around her loving family—her supportive husband, her adventurous son, and two charming feline companions. When not crafting, gardening or exploring the great outdoors, you'll find her in the kitchen, indulging in the joy of baking.
Passionate about fostering well-being through physical therapy and embracing life's diverse pleasures, Holly is on a mission to make a positive impact, one session and one adventure at a time. Let's connect and share the journey to wellness!
Levi Brown,
Physical Therapist
DPT
Levi grew up in a small town in rural Ohio. He started his physical therapy journey as a patient when he was 13 years old. He had a back injury that required him to get PT, piquing his interest in anatomy and physical therapy. He graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. He went on to graduate school at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Levi enjoys working with all body parts and focuses primarily in orthopedics. He has experience in pediatrics and neuro therapy (including vestibular treatments). He loves treating the spine and lower extremities. Levi enjoys rock climbing, whitewater stand up paddleboarding, snowboarding, and mountain biking. Montrose is a wonderful community that allows Levi to enjoy his variety of activities.
