Clubfoot is a congenital condition that some infants are born with. Congenital Talipes Equinovarus is the medical term, with congenital referring to a condition that developed during the pregnancy and is therefore, present at birth.
This is not a rare condition and its incidence varies widely among different across ethnicities. Approximately half of the infants that are born with clubfoot will be affected on both feet and twice as many males as females develop clubfoot.
